Okay, well I was looking for a mustang gt, then it went south.....ppl are pricing them way to high. We are talking the 1999-2004 model. So, I am looking at trans ams. The particular trans am has an Lt1 motor, and is a 1998. First off, the car has chrome wheels, flows, leather, t-tops, and is about 2k cheaper to get than a 2000 mustang gt vert. However, in a GT mustang you get 18 MPG city and 25 freeway. That's in the 4.6L. Now, with the trans am, what gas mileage do you get with the Lt1? Also, how realiable is it? I would be driving the car 7-8 months out of the year, so it will be a daily driver. I know nothing of trans ams, more of a mustang guy.....but for the price and looks, might be willing to switch. I am just concerned with mpgs. My buddy use to b1tch about his v8 camaro only getting 15 mpgs.......So reliability and mpgs are my concern. The car does have 110k on it. thanks oops meant 1996...
